CHEVRON B20-72-1

Tom Powell has owned the unique F3 B20 since June 2007. Chris Skeaping started the 1972 season well with 6th in the opening Lombank F3 Championship round at Brands Hatch at the beginning of March but it would be Silverstone in the middle of May before Skeaping could manage another top 6 place when he took third at Silverstone in a Forward Trust round.

As Chevron concentrated on the higher formulae there would be no more top 6 finishes for Skeaping although both he and the car deserved more for their perseverance.

Engine: Vegantune/Lotus Twin Cam

Only F3 version of the B20 ever built. Run as a works car by Chris Skeaping in 1972 who raced it in F3 events in England and Europe. Finished 3rd at Silverstone, 14 May 1972.

Sold by Chevron to Alex Lowe in 1975 and won the F4 & Monoposto championships in 1977 and 1980 respectively.

Alex sold the car back to Chevron.

In 1994 Nick Crossley bought it and it was totally restored by Roger Andreason. It was then used in HSCC F3 races, winning the Classic F3 Championship in 1995.

Bought by its present owner in 2007 who completely restored it again and returned it to its original livery. It is now used in Classic F3 races.
